Indira School’s Acting Academy in association with Jackie Shroff saw the launch of its first batch on 16th July 2012 at the Academy’s Acting studio.
The mission of this acting academy is to provide world class, industrial requirement based training to the actors in a span of six months.
Ms Renu Garg Dean of the Acting Academy welcomed the students, dignitaries and the guests to the academy.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Tarita Chairperson Indira group shared how Mr Shroff and she envisioned a dream of setting up a world class acting academy that would guide and groom the future actors. She also shared her future plans where she explained how the students will have a chance to participate in the indira group activities at an extra-institutional level as well
Jackie Shroff, program sculptor and mentor of the acting academy in his welcome note emphasized the importance of actor training and explained how he intends to provide the best of the inputs to the students.
Prof Chetan Wakalkar, group director Indira group shared light on the bright future of the entertainment industry and scope for young trained enthusiasts.
Manoj joshi eminent theatre and film actor and an advisory member of the acting academy was a key note speaker he delivered a motivating message to the inductees.
Besides Mahrashtra the academy also has students from other states including Andhra Pradesh,Bihar and Madhaprdesh.The students were thrilled to be with the dignitaries. During the interactive session they actively participated ,shared their views and reasons for joining this particular acting academy
Amongst the other dignitaries were Mr.Sandip Gaekwad,Mr Adesh Gaekwad Ms Asmita Dani and Prof.Madav Vaze who also extended a warm welcome to the students.
.Following the ceremony, a reception brunch was held to honor and welcome the new members and their families.
