Indira IT Technovation Summit 2011

India is well on its way to become a knowledge power, there are all round growth in all sectors of the economy namely the agriculture, manufacturing and services. Today we have an opportunity to take the leadership in the knowledge revolution. Knowledge revolution is indeed the foundation for leading India into a Developed Nation. For this, the time is ripe because of the ascending trajectory of the economy, availability of great institutions for capacity building of the human resource, abundant bio-diversity, and other natural resources and above all, our 540 million youth who are determined to make the nation prosperous, happy and a safe place to live well before 2020.

Innovation and IT are becoming two sides of the same coin in 21st Century. Global opportunities for career enhancement have opened up new vistas for Indian IT professionals.

Indira Institute Management (MCA), Pune in association with University of Pune and Computer Society of India organized a  National Conference on September 29 at the Dhruva  Auditorium. 

The whole summit was live telecasted for the students in the classroom since the response was more than the auditorium capacity.

Topics such as Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing, eSecurity, Social Networking, Software Testing , KPO had been covered in the summit.

Indira group of institutes has the tradition of awarding the individuals for their outstanding contribution towards the growth of IT in the country which they achieved through dedication and commitment towards respective organization. The chief guest of the summit was             Mr. Shekhar Potnis, Associate Vice President & Head of Pune Development Centre, Infosys who believed in job giving rather than job seeking. The Guest of honor was Mr. Suresh Katta, founder of Saama Technologies, who spoke about innovation.
Indira conferred The Life time achievement award to Commodore ANAND KHANDEKAR, Retired from Indian navy, currently Chief Mentor for a NGO called FUEL, (Chairman Nvidia and former MD of Motorola India ltd)

Indira conferred The  IT Excellence award to all achievers viz. Mr. Anupam Arun, CEO, Venture India, a UK based KPO company. He believes that IT is no more Information Technology, but it is Innovation Technology






Mr. Kishor Wikhe, Sr. Vice President, Cap Gemini Financial Services Global Business Unit who said "To stay in industry one needs to be innovative".




 



Mr. Deepak Nathani, COO and Executive Director, Cybage who believes "There is only 1 life and we have to live it up".

In the post lunch session , Dimakh Sahastrabudhe, Chairman, and CEO of Dimakh Consultants enlightened everybody on  “Social Networking on today and tomorrow”  and Vinay Sathe, Chief Promoter & Managing Director of Softspin Group of Companies, threw  light on  “Mobile Computing in 2011 and beyond” .Mr Niranjan Mirasdar , PMP CSTE BLI discussed on “Software Testing, a Global Career”.
